Research preview ยท Not a diagnosis

A scan of your tongue. A clearer sense of your health.

Lumina reads a tongue photo alongside your symptoms, age, and wearable data to surface early health signals โ€” then tells you plainly whether to rest, retest, or see a clinician.

Lumina supports, but does not replace, professional medical advice.

Four steps, one honest answer

Lumina is built to be useful and honest at the same time. It gathers what it can, estimates carefully, and always ends with a clear recommendation.

1. Collect your data

Take a guided tongue photo, note how you feel, and add your age, sex, and history. Connect a wearable to include heart-rate and sleep trends.

2. Estimate likelihoods

Our models weigh visible tongue features against your symptoms and trends to estimate the likelihood of common conditions โ€” with a confidence range, never a verdict.

3. Recommend next steps

Every result ends with plain guidance: keep monitoring, retest in a few days, book a lab test, or contact a clinician now. No jargon, no fear-mongering.

4. Track over time

Repeat scans build a private timeline, so you and your clinician can see whether a signal is fading, stable, or worth a closer look.

What Lumina can and can't do

A tongue-touch health tester is a compelling idea, and parts of it are feasible today. We build only the parts that are genuinely useful โ€” and we are transparent about the limits.

Feasible today

  • Estimating likelihoods from images, symptoms, and trends
  • Flagging patterns worth a clinician's attention
  • Building a private health timeline for you and your doctor

Not feasible yet

  • Reading your genetic code from a tongue touch
  • Diagnosing disease without lab confirmation
  • Replacing a physician or laboratory test
